The Academy of The Company Theatre to Hold Auditions for Disney’s The Lion King JR.

Actors should plan to attend both days of auditions, with the first day spent learning song selection, dance combination and a script reading. Not all audition candidates will be cast.
Celebrate the “Circle of Life”, when this inspiring coming of age story arrives on stage! Disney’s The Lion King JR. has captured the hearts and imagination of audiences around the world. The story of Simba and his journey through the dangers of the African savannah is told through the vibrant music by Elton John. Energetic choreography, detailed costumes and animal masks, and a cast of unforgettable characters. This Lion King youth production promises to be an epic event!
Classes rehearsing the production are held from 3:45 to 5:45 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays
during the production season, beginning January 30. Students must be available during production week for rehearsals from April 17 through 20 from 3:30 to 6 pm, which falls during public school vacation week.
A non-refundable audition fee of $20 is charged at auditions. Tuition for the classes and production is $385 per student. Some financial assistance is available. Tuition is due following the casting announcement. A headshot is helpful but not required. A completed emergency form must accompany audition candidates, available upon arrival.
Performances of Disney’s The Lion King JR. will be held April 21 through 30. Tickets are $15.
